image come into my mind. I have stayed in Utah, went into Banking, Trust work currently working in the Ogden office of Bank of Utah. Vice President and Trust Officer. Estate Planning. Look forward to seeing you at Little America. Patricia Sheffield - 06-06-2007
Nice site and fun to view and know what some have been up to. I work with abused children in St. George and love life greatly. It is unlikely I can make the reunion due to other commitments, but which all well. Kathy English - 05-22-2007
This web page and reunion are the best. Good work! My husband Pat and I will be in Oregon running the Hood to Coast relay with friends on the 24-25th or we would be at the Little America for sure. I wish all of you the very best and wish that I could say hello in person. The best part of my life right now are 6 grandchildren that I get to watch grow up.
Even though I won't be there I would love to help. Dale Marrinan - 05-03-2007
Hello, I am living in Albany, Georgia working as a psychometrist for a local psychiatrist. I left Salt Lake in 1986 and have lived here for the past 15 years. I train horses, as a passion. I have 10 or my own and I enjoy them to no end. I am happy to see so many of us left and I have enjoyed reading your comments. My address is 117 Mossydale Lane Albany, Georgia 31721. I would love to hear from you. I keep planning to move back to the west, but I keep putting it off. Best wishes to all of us. Ronald J Fryer - 05-01-2007
Wow how time flies and it is interesting to see where the fickle-finger-of-fate has placed us after 40 years. I never thought I would ever leave the Salt Lake valley, but here I am in Kennewick, Washington since 1980 working as a Project Manager for Lockheed Martin. We occasionally visit relatives in Utah and my family is used to the routine of the old man breaking into the Olympus High school song every time we pass the school. Funny thing is, I still remember the school songs from Olympus Junior high and Holiday Elementary which I attended also, weird huh? Hope we can make it down for the reunion and get re-acquainted. Knew about Karl Rove, Brian Moench wrote an editorial about him in the Tribune some time ago, and he difinitley was not a fan! Looking forward to the reunion. Retired nine years ago after teaching at Murray High School for 25 years. I'm now a nana of seven little ones..six girls and one boy! Love it. Sheri Slaughter - 04-06-2007
Plans for our 40th reunion are coming along 'swimmingly'. Please view the reunion updates under 'News' or 'Reunions' on this web site. We're still missing many of our classmates. Check 'contact classmates' to see if there's someone missing for whom you have an address or phone number. Hey, while you're looking at Contact Classmates---check your own info to make sure it's correct. If it's not, submit an update. It's easy. You can tell us if you're coming to the reunion while you're updating. While you're at it, post a 'NOW' photo of yourself, write a short bio, and tell us a funny high school story!! Thanks. I have a funny story to tell that started on this website: I was surprised to learn from one of the quizzes that Carl Rove had graduated from Olympus (I had guessed Roseanne Barr--what did I know?). So I googled his name to see if this was true. Turns out he graduated 2 years after us, the same year as my younger brother, and attended the U briefly where he was a Pi Kap (same fraternity as my 3 brothers, and my ex-husband had been president of Pi Kaps when Carl was there). Sooo...I emailed my brothers and ex and asked them if they had known him and if they did, why didn't they ever mention this before now? One brother said, yes, they had been friends in high school. Another said he had driven with Carl to LA when my brother moved there to go to dental school. My third brother, not to be outdone, made up the story that he had smoked marijuana with Carl on 3 occasions in the basement of the Pi Kap house. But the kicker was my ex-husband, who said that Carl (who they called 'the Rover' at the Pi Kap house, and who my ex said had always been a 'political nut') had stiffed him for $200 in library fines. Turns out Carl had borrowed his U of U library card, run up a fine, and left for a different university (Maryland, was it?). So my ex had to pay Carl's $200 library fine in order to graduate a few years later. My daughter is a newspaper reporter in NJ. I told her she should do a story about the library fine to expose the nefarious character of a top Bush aide. But I guess Carl is doing a pretty good job of discrediting himself all by himself these days . Chris James - 01-08-2007
Great site, great idea! Ain't the Web grand? I just retired from 30 years of teaching digital (and analog) media at community colleges in Colorado and Washington State. The last 17 years was spent at Bellevue Community College in Washington, where I was Program Chair of the Media Program. The last seven years at BCC I have lived here in Norther New Mexico and taught all my classes online via the Web. Now retired, I'm playing a lot of music (celtic, folk, blues) again, doing a lot of digital photography. Don't know if I can get to the reunion, but at least I now have time to try. I'd have graduated from Olympus in the Class of 1967 had I not left the summer before to move to Missoula, Montana. Am now back in Missoula after spending most of the last thirty-nine years in San Diego, California.
Attended 18 schools through high school. Graduated from a school named, believe it not, Hellgate. Have never been to a reunion at Hellgate. Was always far more fond of Olympus---and its students/teachers---than of any other school I ever attended.
Had a crush on Diana Wiley while at Olympus. She later dated a friend of mine (Don Glasser) while at the University of Utah. Hope Diana is doing well. Don went on to a brief stint with the SEALS and later to the FBI, where he's been for the past 30 years.
As for 'Land Rover Andy' - as I was known then - spent much of the last 39 years in the Land Rover business. Since March 1989 have been researching and writing a book to be named, CLOSING THE LOOP ON PEARL HARBOR. Robert Roestenburg - 11-16-2006
I was trying to check out the authenticity of a letter from an outfit regarding an alumni directory and ran across this website.
Wow what a surprise ...
After recently moving back to Utah after a 30 year absence, it's great the see and hear about the people I grew up with and spend most of my school years with.
Kudos to everyone for the excellent work. Randy Tolpinrud - 11-07-2006
I so much enjoyed the 35th gathering and so especially look forward to seeing everyone on the 40th. While I spend a significant amount of time in Costa Rica I will definitely try to be at the reunion. You are all special to me...with love and best wishes...see you soon! Marilyn, make certain you come!!!! Lee R. Ritzman - 10-23-2006
Hi All. Glad to see the web site - Thanks.
We are living in Newport Oregon (Chris Mackay said he'd visit, but haven't seen him yet - Only 90 miles from Eugene/Springfield). I enjoyed the 55th Birthday. Hope to make it to the reunion. [attie Page Brisko - 10-22-2006
