I came so close to coming to the birthday party. It
just didn't work out. I would have loved to see you all! You have the
right email for me, and I will update any bio stuff. The picture was great,
and I appreciated knowing the losses the class has experienced.
Thanks for trying to keep us together. I know others have tried too and
their efforts don't go un-noticed.
Thanks,
Howard Olson Margaret Edwards - 09-03-2009
I have just recently moved back to SLC, so I am here to help for future shindigs. I am currently an associate in a family law firm, but am on the lookout for a non-family law position, so if you hear of any, holler! Wayne Martinson - 09-03-2009
Thanks very much for all your efforts regarding the website and keeping information together about the Olympus High School Class of 67.
I very much appreciate knowing what has happened to some of the folks. And
after all, for many of us, it isn't just Olympus High School, but goes back
to first and second grades or at least sometime well before 1967.
Take Care,
Wayne Roger Summerhays - 08-21-2009
Dear Committee,
Thank you so much for the excellent job you did setting up this birthday party. It was fun to see old (literally) friends again. I wish everyone well and look forward to getting together again at a future date (s).
Sincerely,
Roger Summerhays Chritine Buckner McLachlan - 08-15-2009
I have missed every reunion and I regret it I would love to see everyone again...well maybe the next one I live in Heber City and work at Park City Mountain Resort (going on 22 years now) Does anyone know where Gayle Greenwood ended up? I would love to get in touch with her! Robert J. Evans - 07-13-2009
I was happy to find the website! So many old memories. I've been out of touch for a long time. I was living in Phoenix until the end of 2008, and now you'll find me in Tecate Mexico. Yes, I'm 60 and a grandfather of nine. Laura Bartlett Stingley - 07-09-2009
It sure is fun to see so many old friends again. See you at the birthday party! Bill Burt - 04-07-2008
I just found this website and would enjoy helping with the next reunion Cecelia (Cece) Foxley - 08-23-2007
Hi everyone! Erin sent me the information about the 40th reunion. While I will not be able to attend the banquet at Little America on Friday night, I do hope to drop by the high school on Saturday. It would be fun to see those of you who took my Junior Honors English classes or worked with me on the Odyssey yearbook. For some of you who have wondered what happens to old English teachers.......well, this one became a professor of counseling psychology and administrator at the University of Minnesota, the University of Iowa, and Utah State University before becoming Utah's Commissioner of Higher Education for over 10 years. In December I will retire from my Regents Professorship at the University of Utah. It will be nice to have more time to spend with family (1 daughter, 1 stepdaughter, 2 stepsons and 6 grandchildren---the most fun of all!). Kathy Booth Richins - 08-17-2007
I am excited to see old friends. This will be great. Vicki Nelson Bownds - 08-14-2007
It's too bad we waited 40 years before doing this. Keith Kennington - 08-11-2007
It is a pleasure to read the current information about the classmates of 1967. I have never been available to attend the previous reunions so this one will be a special occasion for me. I look forward to seeing you all. Marjorie (Molly) Greene Hahn - 08-05-2007
Hello Everyone!
I'm living in Boston and can't make it back for the reunion since Tufts University, where I'm a Professor of Mathematics, starts right after Labor Day and the students will already be arriving. I'm still playing tennis, in fact was inducted into the New England Tennis Hall of Fame in June at a wonderful ceremony held at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, RI. I absolutely love to play on grass courts, so have been a member of the Longwood Cricket Club for over ten years. I'm married to a radiologist, Peter Hahn, who gets me out on the golf course whenever he can. We have a son, Robert, who is attending graduate school in Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Washington in Seattle. His interest is mountain meteorology, stimulated by many skiing and hiking trips to Utah. Thus, about the only time we make it to Utah is the week before Christmas for a yearly ski vacation. On my last visit I did see Gay Workman Jackson who filled me in about many Olympus friends. Have a great reunion! I'm sorry I can't join you. Rebecca Transue - 08-01-2007
Hello to all who remember me. I've lived in Hawaii since 2/68; in Honolulu until 1982, and since then mostly in Kona. I've worked in human services for 20 years, and am currently the clinical supervisor for Enhanced Healthy Start for the west side of the Big Island. I'm still very much in touch with Claudia McDonald Miller and, this past Christmas, spent a week with her in Colorado.
I saw some of you 30 years ago (yikes) at our 10 year reunion. Though I won't be with you for the 40th, I will be thinking of you. Thanks for your call, Erin, and for your note, Lynn. Regards, Rebecca Gail Smith Shields - 07-22-2007
Wow! The Olympus Class of 67 website is remarkable. I'm so sorry to say that I will miss our 40th Reunion. It sounds great. I do have a good excuse. I'm out of the country for 5 months. I'm living in Australia. Poor me. Oh well, I'm determined to make our 50th (and even our 45th, if you're up to it).
A big Thank You to the committee for planning this great event.
